Club Etiquette
Welcome to the Manchester Bath & Tennis Club (MBT). To make your visit to the MBT as enjoyable as possible, whether you are a member or guest of a member, there are some house rules that we ask you to follow.
Parking
Due to parking limitations, members may only park one car per household. Each car must pull as far forward as possible. Double parking allowed in upper area only, leave the car unlocked and the keys in the car. At all times, members must follow the direction of the parking attendants. Guests of members cannot park in the parking lot.
Dress Code and Demeanor
Members’ attire shall conform to good taste for a private club. Bathing suits, swim trunks and bare feet are not allowed anywhere in the club great room or on the upper deck area. Males are required to wear a collared tennis shirt while playing tennis. Members, children and guests are expected to act like ladies and gentleman in dress, demeanor and language. No verbal or physical abuse of club employees will be tolerated.
Visiting Guests
The guest rules are designed for the purpose of extending courtesies of the club to visitors and permit members’ friends to occasionally enjoy the club’s facilities. Guests must be introduced to the General Manager, or to the front desk. Members must sign them into the guestbook and fees will be assess to the account.
Cell Phones and Other Electronic Devices
Members, guests and their children are not to use cell phones on the upper deck or in-door area of the club. Such devices must be set to silent. There are several areas outside the club house to use cell phones, if necessary.
Member Privacy
Unsolicited and unwelcomed photography at the club is not permitted. Photographs or videos of members, guests or children, directly or indirectly, without their
agreement or permission is inappropriate and not permitted. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Charges
All club charges will be to the members’ account. There will be no cash or credit transactions for dining or bar. Cash may be accepted at private or other specific functions at the discretion of the General Manager.
Smoking
Smoking of any kind is not permitted inside the club building, on the beach or in any of the outdoor areas.
Food and Beverage
Food and beverages not purchased at the MBT are not to be consumed on the premises. No one under the age of 21 years of age is allowed to consume alcoholic beverages on Club premises nor enter the bar. Food may be brought in after 4:00pm.
Pets
Pets, with the exception of service dogs, are not allowed in the club at any time. Neither are they allowed in any outside area on MBT property.
